Swissness
My relationship with Switzerland began in the mid-1970s, when I spent two years living and working in Bern. Since then, I have returned often to make pictures.
These photographs move beyond Switzerland’s familiar postcard image to explore the quieter rhythms and contradictions of everyday life. I’m drawn to the moments when order, precision, and restraint give way to something less expected.
